Varfolomeev signed a new long-term contract with the English Lincoln City

Ukrainian midfielder Ivan Varfolomeev continued cooperation with English Lincoln City. The new agreement of the 22-year-old football player with the club is designed for another four years - until the summer of 2030. Varfolomeev joined the "Devils" in August 2025, transferring from the Czech Slovan (Liberets). His first season at the foggy Albion proved to be extremely successful: the Ukrainian became the champion of the First League of England  and helped the team rise in class, reaching the Championship. According to the results of the 2025/26 championship, Ivan was recognized as the best young player of Lincoln City. The midfielder continues to play an important role in the team in the current campaign. He has already made eight appearances in England's second-highest division and cup tournaments, scoring one assist. Confident and stable play for the club bore its fruits - Varfolomeev, who previously played regularly for the youth team, received his debut call-up to the main national team of Ukraine at the Nations League match. Lincoln City is currently 12th in the Championship table. The Ukrainian team will play its next match on October 10 against Sheffield United.
