Liverpool and Manchester United are interested in van de Ven

Liverpool and Manchester United are keeping tabs on Tottenham centre-back Mickey van de Ven. According to CaughtOffside, both English giants are closely monitoring the Dutchman. In Liverpool, the 25-year-old football player is considered as one of the potential successors of Virgil van Dijk. The Merseyside captain's contract runs until June 2027, so the club are already assessing options for a future upgrade at the heart of the defence. Van de Ven fits the profile well that Liverpool are looking for. The left-footed defender is quick, physically strong and already has a lot of experience in the Premier League. Manchester United also continue to evaluate options for their own defensive line. Age, Premier League experience and ability to play on the left flank of central defense make van de Ven an attractive candidate for the Mancunians. At the same time, Tottenham is in a strong position. In August, the club extended the contract with the Dutchman until 2031, and van de Ven himself became the captain of the team. According to CaughtOffside, the Londoners value their defender at around £80-90m.
