Arsenal make Vinícius Júnior their top target, close in on Tyjon and renew Guimaraes push

Arsenal are turning their attention to a statement signing, with reports saying Mikel Arteta has promised Vinícius Júnior that the team would revolve around him. The Real Madrid winger has one year left on his contract, and Arsenal are prepared to commit significant resources to bring the 26-year-old to north London. Vinícius is said to be frustrated with playing a secondary role behind Kylian Mbappé at Real Madrid, making Arteta's pitch more appealing.
Arsenal are also closing in on Blackburn Rovers striker Igor Tyjon. The England U18 international has been on the club's radar for months, and a deal worth £2 million is close to being finalized. The expectation is that the move will be announced before the summer window shuts.
Newcastle have rejected Arsenal's first official offer for Bruno Guimaraes. The bid fell significantly short of the €93m (£80m) asking price, but Arsenal are preparing a second attempt. Guimaraes is open to joining the club, although he will not push for a move by going on strike the way Alexander Isak did last summer.
Arsenal also saw a creative proposal for Victor Osimhen turned down by Galatasaray. The offer was a player-plus-cash deal involving Viktor Gyokeres and €30m, with club officials having traveled to Istanbul. Galatasaray want at least €130m for Osimhen, who is also attracting reported interest from Tottenham Hotspur.
In a separate move, Arsenal have agreed to pay around £500,000 for Cardiff City teenager Axel Donczew. The 16-year-old has already completed his medical, and Cardiff avoided the need for a sourcesl fee. Donczew's signing is expected to be made official soon.
