Enzo, Jackson and the Chelsea exodus: 20 players who could leave by Deadline Day

Since BlueCo took charge in 2022, Chelsea have rarely been out of the transfer headlines. This summer has been no exception, with Xabi Alonso's first window producing almost €380m in new signings - Morgan Rogers the priciest at €138m. But with one of the biggest squads in the sport, the priority between now and the September 1 deadline is moving players out through both sales and loans. Enzo Fernandez and Jackson are the most recognisable names in the departure conversation, though the full list runs deeper. Filip Jorgensen has already been allowed to leave the club's pre-season tour to undergo a medical at sister club Strasbourg. The move has not been announced, but he is expected to become Strasbourg's first-choice goalkeeper for the 2026-27 season, stepping in for Mike Penders, who has gone back to Chelsea. Gabriel Slonina has never made a senior Chelsea appearance since arriving from Chicago Fire in 2022. He could leave on loan or permanently. A proposed switch to Strasbourg did not materialise after he trained there in July, and he is currently with Chelsea's first-team squad in Asia. Aaron Anselmino did well at Borussia Dortmund in the first half of last season, though injuries restricted him to 10 appearances. His subsequent loan at Strasbourg was also disrupted by fitness problems. Chelsea want him to get regular starts elsewhere, especially with Pep Chavarria expected to fill the left-back role.
