Chelsea transfer bulletin: €82m Alex Scott plan, Mudryk return and Chalobah talks

Chelsea are preparing an improved offer worth €82 million (£70m) for Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott. The 22-year-old has emerged as one of the club's key summer targets, and Chelsea are ready to return to negotiations after their first approach was rejected. Bournemouth are determined not to let Scott leave permanently, but the Blues are pushing to bring him to Stamford Bridge. That effort continues even with Jordan Henderson close to arriving from Brentford. Mykhailo Mudryk is eligible to play again after the Football Association resolved his doping case. Chelsea confirmed on Friday that they are pleased with the outcome and now want to support Misha's reintegration into the squad. Mudryk is expected to join Chelsea's pre-season camp in Hong Kong on Sunday. Goalkeeper Hudson Sands has signed a new three-year contract at Chelsea and will spend the 2026-27 season on loan at Dulwich Hamlet. Sands made nine appearances for the Under-18s last season, and the move to the Isthmian League Premier Division club will be his first taste of senior football. Chelsea are also in talks with Como over Trevoh Chalobah. According to insider, the Serie A club are pushing for a deal, with a €30m guaranteed package under discussion and personal terms already agreed. Chelsea are open to selling the defender as negotiations continue. Off the pitch, Chelsea have been fined £10m and handed a suspended two-window transfer ban after self-reporting historical financial rule breaches. The club, under BlueCo, admitted 74 breaches of FA Rule E1.2. The initial six-point suspended deduction was overturned on appeal and replaced by a registration ban suspended until 30 June 2027. The fine, which was not appealed, will be invested in grassroots football. Newcastle defender Lewis Hall remains Chelsea's dream left-back target, according to transfer insider Simon Phillips. Hall came through the Chelsea academy before joining Newcastle, and Chelsea are keen to bring him back while still working on a deal for Rayo Vallecano's Pep Chavarria. Manchester United are also interested in Hall and could step up their pursuit as they look to provide competition for Luke Shaw. Xabi Alonso has confirmed he wants only four or five centre-backs in his first-team squad next season.
