Trabzonspor open Salah talks with Egypt star heading to Istanbul

Trabzonspor have confirmed they are in negotiations with Mohamed Salah and expect the Egypt forward to arrive in Istanbul on Wednesday. The Turkish club released a statement saying Salah is set to travel to Trabzon later that evening, with further details of his welcome program to be announced through official club channels. Salah, 34, is available on a free transfer after leaving Liverpool at the end of last season. He joined the Reds from Roma in June 2017 and spent nine seasons at Anfield, helping the club win two Premier League titles, the Champions League, the Club World Cup, the UEFA Super Cup, the FA Cup, two EFL Cups and the Community Shield. On the international stage, Salah was part of the Egypt squad that reached the 2026 World Cup round of 16, where they lost 3-2 to Argentina, who went on to reach the final.
