Real Madrid Win Diomande's Nod, Rodri Chase Heats Up - Transfer Roundup

Real Madrid have stormed into pole position for RB Leipzig midfielder Yan Diomande, securing a full personal terms agreement after weeks of PSG dominance in the race. According to insider, Real Madrid submitted an opening offer of €90 million plus €10 million in add-ons, which Leipzig rejected as they seek more than €100 million. The Spanish giants however have now received the green light from the player on a five-year contract. "Jose Mourinho indicated to Real Madrid that he wanted Jan Diomande, which is why the club submitted an opening offer worth €90 million plus €10m in add-ons. That proposal was rejected by RB Leipzig, who are demanding more than €100m to complete the transfer," Romano said. Romano added that both Manchester City and Arsenal had explored the possibility of signing Diomande, but the Ivory Coast midfielder did not open the door to a move to England. Paris Saint-Germain had personal terms agreed since June but failed to finalize a deal with Leipzig, and now face a renewed battle after Real Madrid's aggressive move. Real Madrid are also keeping tabs on Manchester City's Rodri. Contacts with the player's representatives remain active, but an official bid to City awaits approval from club president Florentino Perez. Rodri is said to be keen on the move. Meanwhile, Bayern Munich have once again shut down speculation linking Michael Olise with Real Madrid. Sporting director Christoph Freund confirmed the French winger is not for sale and will play a key role next season, with a new contract offer expected. In other developments, Arsenal continue their pursuit of Bruno Guimarães, while Tottenham are pushing for Girona winger Savinho as the summer window intensifies.
