Man United confirm two exits as Rashford's Old Trafford stay comes into focus

Manchester United is stepping up its transfer work. Two players are set to head out of Old Trafford in deals that should create room for new arrivals, and the belief inside the club is growing that Marcus Rashford will stay. The two departures involve goalkeepers. Radek Vitek is expected to join Middlesbrough, while Altay Bayindir is closing in on a move to Celta Vigo. United has negotiated favorable terms for both players, giving Michael Carrick extra flexibility with wages and spending power as he continues shaping the squad. On Rashford, Romano delivered what he called an important update. There are no firm negotiations about an exit. A move to Al Nassr or Fenerbahce is not on the table, and if the England forward leaves, it would only be for one of Europe's top clubs-but that is not happening at the moment. Romano says United's internal view is that there is now a better than 50 percent chance Rashford remains at the club when the window closes. He repeated his earlier stance from the World Cup: Carrick wants to work with Rashford, and United has been waiting to welcome him back for pre-season. With the start of August approaching, unless something extraordinary happens in the market, Rashford has a genuine chance of staying and competing for his place under Carrick. In the current circumstances, keeping him could almost feel like a new signing. United has also looked at Lewis Hall as a left-back signing, but Newcastle has shut that door. Newcastle has told United that Hall will not move under any circumstances this summer, even after losing Sandro Tonali and, in all likelihood, Bruno Guimaraes. Hall has been viewed as an ideal candidate to challenge Luke Shaw, so Carrick will have to turn to other targets or find an internal solution. Juventus, meanwhile, is pushing to take Joshua Zirkzee on loan. The Netherlands forward impressed at Bologna during his Serie A spell and has been a long-term target for the Turin club. United is open to a temporary deal for the former Bayern Munich attacker, and Carrick left Zirkzee on the bench for the recent friendly with Atletico Madrid.
