sources runs through the biggest rumours and gossip from 3 September, including the latest updates on Lewis Hall , Lamine Camara and Georginio Wijnaldum.
Man Utd will go all-in on Hall in 2027
Man Utd actively refrained from adding a left-back this summer to have a clear path to signing Newcastle star Lewis Hall next year, The writes.
The Red Devils prioritised the acquisition of a left-back in the final days of the window, but despite links with numerous potential targets, the right opportunity did not come along.
Man Utd were seeking an affordable, "try-before-you-buy" deal as they did not have the funds to pursue top target Hall. But with no suitable alternatives available, they decided to keep their powder dry and will instead look to bring the Newcastle man in next summer.
Camara could end up at Liverpool
AS Monaco midfielder Lamine Camara could end up at Liverpool after his collapsed Deadline Day move to Chelsea , according to insider and Ben Jacobs .
The Senegal international was set to join Chelsea in a €55 million deal until Monaco pulled the plug at the 11th hour. Liverpool refrained from bidding, but they were among the clubs to show an interest this summer.
Indeed, Ornstein says that Camara would have been their top target had Alexis Mac Allister sealed a late departure, while Jacobs suggests that the Reds told Monaco and the player to "wait" until 2027 before completing a transfer.
Wijnaldum won't join Chelsea
Free agent midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum will not sign for Chelsea, insider reports.
The Netherlands international is available on a free transfer after leaving Al-Ettifaq this summer. On Wednesday, a report claimed that Chelsea had made contact with the former Liverpool and PSG star in their search for a new midfielder.
With Camara not having joined, Chelsea were left without a replacement for Enzo Fernandez , so it was suggested that they could sign Wijnaldum on a short-term deal. However, Romano insists that this will not happen.
Richarlison wants to join Salah
Tottenham striker Richarlison is pushing to join Trabzonspor , Yagiz Sabuncuoglu understands.
The Turkish club, who have already signed Mohamed Salah and Fabinho this summer, made an offer for the Brazil international on Wednesday and secured buy-in from him. They are willing to triple his Spurs salary, as per insider .
However, Tottenham rebuffed the Turkish club's first two offers, with the second clocking in at more than €20m. Trabzonspor are simultaneously working on a deal for Midtjylland striker Franculino Dju for a similar fee, and it will surely be a case of one or the other rather than both.
Cherki attracting attention
Bayern Munich, PSG and Real Madrid are all interested in Man City star Rayan Cherki , claims.
The France international has enjoyed a strong start to life under new manager Enzo Maresca, but it remains to be seen if he can nail down a regular starting spot going forward. Should he fail to do so, he would have no shortage of suitors in the future.
At this stage, there is no suggestion that Cherki could leave Man City anytime soon, but considering their huge spending this summer, Cherki could represent a quick profit to help balance the books in the future, considering that he only cost €36.5m in 2025.
