Bayern weigh Sesko heir for Kane as Konsa, Scalvini lead transfer roundup

Bayern Munich have their eyes on a long-term heir for Harry Kane, with Benjamin Sesko on the club's radar. The Bundesliga side tried to sign the Slovenian during his RB Leipzig spell but were put off by the fee, and the striker eventually joined Manchester United last summer. Bayern are not looking to replace Kane immediately. They are preparing to offer the 33-year-old a new contract, but German reporter Christian Falk has outlined that the club are thinking about what comes after the England captain. Kane could shift into a deeper role, opening the door for a younger No. 9 such as Sesko to arrive and perhaps play alongside him. Ezri Konsa is open to joining Arsenal after the Gunners looked into a deal for the Aston Villa defender. Arsenal are in the market for a centre-back because of William Saliba's long-term injury, and Konsa has also been linked with Liverpool. Aston Villa want more than €70 million, which is seen as too expensive, but the 28-year-old would be tempted by a move to Arsenal and is not pushing for an exit. Mikel Arteta's side have several alternatives and would probably prefer a cheaper option. Giorgio Scalvini is a target for Chelsea, Newcastle and Tottenham. The Atalanta defender has a strong reputation, but injuries have stalled previous moves. Atalanta would want at least €50 million, while Newcastle are ready to bid €40 million. Scalvini is attracted by the Premier League, so personal terms should not be an issue. Chelsea have reportedly contacted his camp to confirm the valuation. Liverpool are also planning for the final weeks of the window. They are expected to make a formal offer in the region of €100 million for Barcola, and the Frenchman's arrival could make Cody Gakpo available. Liverpool would sell the 27-year-old for €85 million, and Tottenham are among those weighing a move. Newcastle are close to completing a deal for Anis Hadj Moussa, with incoming manager Matthias Jaissle having identified the Feyenoord winger as his first target. PSG are pushing for Ferran Torres, who feels undervalued at Barcelona and wants to leave. Fulham are keen on Troy Parrott but face competition from Ajax, PSV, Real Betis and Como for the AZ Alkmaar striker. Inter may increase their offer for Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones to about €35 million. Roma are willing to bid €25 million for Feyenoord full-back Givairo Read, while Ipswich are expected to sign Strasbourg forward Julio Enciso.
